Students will need to use communication skills, planning, cooperation, and patience to move the "helium pole" from average student’s chest height to the ground.

Each student will pick a card, deliberate, and share how/what that card represents and share with the group. This activity is a good ice-breaker, team builder, and SEL self and social awareness tool.    

Students will learn about different soil types based on their content of clay, silt, and sand. Soil will be collected and stratified using a simple technique.
